AI Civic generator
Many civic organizations are clear about the problems they want to address, but they do not always have tools that allow them to convert that intention into fundable, sustainable, and well-designed initiatives from the start. Added to this is a recurrent difficulty: the lack of structured information on comparable backgrounds, adequate funding sources, and real capacities of organizations seeking to collaborate on the same initiative.
We developed a tool to accompany civic organizations in the design of more viable and sustainable initiatives. To do this, we built a database of previously funded civic projects, allowing users to learn about backgrounds and benchmark similar experiences. In addition, we developed a database of funders and funding instruments organized according to the stage of the initiative (idea or prototyping) to help identify the most appropriate options. The tool also requests information on the capacities and capital of the organizations involved in a collaborative project, facilitating the division of roles and generating project ideas aligned with the real capacities of those who will lead them.
We designed a tool that helps civic organizations convert ideas into more viable initiatives, connecting capacities, backgrounds, and funding options in a practical co-creation experience.
The tool has been used by the Andean civic ecosystem (composed of 31 civic organizations nationwide) in co-creation spaces guided and facilitated by Plaza Cívica and Causante. Its use allowed project ideas to be grounded with a greater connection between organizational capacities, funding opportunities, and sustainability over time.
