The Ilo Provincial Municipality faced challenges in ordering key information linked to oversight, works, the environment, and citizen services. There was a concrete need to move from more reactive and coercive control schemes to mechanisms that facilitated compliance, traceability, and a better relationship between the citizenry and the municipality.
We worked with the public works and oversight management areas to map businesses, identify the regulations they had to comply with, and develop a platform that allowed for follow-up on those processes. Likewise, assets of the environmental management area were mapped, such as parks, green areas, trash cans, and recycling points, and this information was communicated to the citizenry to facilitate their access. The solution also incorporated an application to help resolve and deliver documents related to oversight processes, promoting a more proactive response from citizens.
We ordered critical information for municipal management and put it at the service of a clearer, preventive, and proactive relationship between the municipality and the citizenry.
The solution strengthened the municipal capacity to follow up on businesses and environmental assets, improved citizen access to useful territory information, and opened a more proactive way of relating in terms of oversight.
