CONTEXT

In international calls linked to digital standards and innovation, one of the great challenges is to identify which proposals have a real capacity to provide technical, strategic, and economic value to complex global agendas. This requires evaluating projects not only for their innovation but also for their alignment with institutional priorities, their technical quality, and their implementation feasibility.

WHAT WE DID?

We participated in the evaluation of approximately 10 projects from five continents on topics such as cybersecurity and data protection, digital standards ecosystems, digital product passports, strengthening digital policies and capacities for tertiary education, among others. The evaluation was carried out based on rigorous criteria aimed at measuring added value compared to existing or emerging standardization activities, the potential impact on European strategy, technical excellence, the applicant's experience, and the economic strength of the proposal.

OUR SOLUTION

We evaluated international proposals in emerging digital agendas to identify those with the greatest technical strength, strategic relevance, and potential for impact.

WHAT WE ACHIEVED?

The experience allowed for providing specialized criteria to a global project selection process in strategic areas for international digital transformation, connecting technical evaluation with a vision of implementation, innovation, and public policy.

WHAT WE LEARNED?
"Evaluating innovation in global environments requires much more than reviewing good ideas. It requires understanding standards, strategy, implementation, and the use of resources at the same time, with a perspective capable of balancing technical excellence and public relevance."
